About Department
......The
Department of Commerce was established in the year 1983.
The Bachelors course in Commerce started in 1983. Since
then, the department has steadily grown and achieved several
milestones, with all the activities of the department being
carried out under the banner of "DEPARTMENT
OF COMMERCE ". The department has 08 proficient,
knowledgeable faculty members, have come from different
streams of specialization, which is required to meet the
needs of academic and industry.
......The
department has a well-established Business Lab with Library
facilities. 400+ students are enrolled for Commerce program.
......Alongside
the regular class and course activities, various intra -class,
inter-class and inter -collegiate activities enable the
students to improve their skills. The department regularly
organises workshops and seminars to help students to update
their knowledge regarding the latest developments in the
field of Commerce, Management, Banking and Finance.
......At
the undergraduate level itself the students are initiated
into data collection and research. Case study method, role
- play, student presentations are different methodologies
used to make the class room session lively and inter -active.
Students are encouraged to go through observational studies,
field visits and internships to optimise their class room
learning.

Department headed by Prof. Vishwaradya, Prof. Ramaswamy,
Prof. Thontadarya, Prof. B.K. Bharamappa, Prof. Ramappa
and Prof. P. R. Lokesha Reddy more efficiently. Presently
the department is headed by Prof. K.S.N. Rao.

Objectives
